Get your Drink/Eat On

There are two bars in Lenox.

Rumpy's Tavern
: Dark, old movies on the TV, littered with magic eight balls and tchotchkes, live music/karaoke/open mics, open the very latest in town (a whopping 1:30 a.m.!). Located at 16 Church St. in Lenox center.

Transportation and Directions

There will be a school bus leaving The Hampton Inn for The Dream Away Lodge at 3:15 p.m. on Saturday May 22. It will return to the hotel at the end of the reception (approximately 11:30-midnight). The bus holds 45 and will be first come, first serve (we would like to rent a whole fleet for you guys, but alas...).

But don't fret. If this schedule doesn't work for you, there are cabs that you can catch and shuttles that you can rent. Plus, the powers that be at The Dream Away have laid out VERY explicit directions for those of you who are driving. Please be sure you follow them, and be careful! The road to the Dream Away goes up a mountain. There are some sharp turns. Here's the link to the directions page: DIRECTIONS (this should also be handy for those of you driving in on the day of). Please check these. According to the Dream Away, "Never think your gps is smarter than you - it doesn't know landmarks or shortcuts, and it thinks that Old Washington Mtn Rd is still a road! If you blindly trust that your gps is the smartest one in the room, or if you'd like to test your gps against the real world take these directions as backup."

The address for the Dream Away Lodge is: 1342 County Road, Beckett, MA, 01223

If you driving from Lenox (where the hotels are), follow the Lee directions on the Dream Away site (Jeremy and I will do a drive from the hotel to the venue soon, and post step by step directions). Be sure you follow these directions EXPLICITLY. When they say hard left, they mean HARD LEFT!

Reserved Blocks at Two Hotels

These are the two hotels at which we've booked blocks for our guests:

The Hampton Inn: There are two types of rooms here, rooms with one king-sized bed and "studio suites" with one king-sized bed and one queen-sized sofa bed. (If that link doesn't work, go here.)

The Yankee Inn: This hotel is right nearby the Hampton Inn. I think they even share a parking lot. There are three types of rooms here in two different buildings of the hotel: rooms with two double beds in the main building, rooms with two doubles in the south building, and rooms with one queen in the south building.

Both of these hotels have swimming pools! To ensure availability and reduced rate, please book The Hampton Inn by April 21 and book The Yankee Inn by April 6.

Inevitably, the rooms at these hotel will run out before our guests do. But don't fret! Lenox, MA is a vacation destination, so there are tons of hotels at all different price points. I'll cobble together a list and post it here shortly.

We Are Getting Married Sometime

We have set a date. It's been set for a while now. But soon we will be sending these postcards to remind you.

I was all set to order some fancy shmancy save-the-date cards online, but thought better of it when I saw the high price. I designed these in Photoshop using some of our favorite photo booth strips from over the years.

I think they look pretty good. The back of the card looks good, too. But you can wait 'til it comes in the mail to see that.

love,
Sarah (Jeremy says "hi!")
